Terracotta Songs, combines song and sculptural action in a collective work in CAC's garden. Performers shape the terracotta into cubic forms while performing a continuous vocal score, inviting spectators to participate in the clay-working process. The songs expand in a space that changes over time as the cubes accumulate, thus constructing a constantly evolving social and material landscape. Lina Lapelytė expands her research on the voice as a social medium in a work that explores how collective actions can generate forms of connection and temporary structures of belonging.
