Mudam Luxembourg – Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean presents and collects the most significant art of our time. Through its exhibitions, publications, artistic and educational programme, Mudam fosters research and dialogue while foregrounding the changing nature of art and society. Mudam serves as a reference museum for contemporary art that strives to embody artistic, architectural and cultural excellence.
Bringing together artists and cultural producers from around the world in Luxembourg, Mudam offers an artistic programme that is accessible, experimental, transnational and transdisciplinary. We believe that art, both contemporary and modern, reflects our world in a way that provokes thought and emotions. Designed by I. M. Pei and inaugurated in 2006, the museum houses a growing collection of over 800 works of art, spans 4,000 m² of exhibition space and welcomes around 100,000 visitors annually. Since 2021, Mudam has also developed a dedicated performance programme.
